We at MainelyMac don’t charge a fortune just to zip in and out too quickly to competently ascertain a problem, providing an aspirin-for-a-headache solution to your computer’s woes while ignoring, or merely just missing in our haste, the brain tumor at the headache’s root.
Our one-hour onsite minimum charge allows us not only to help cover the expense of travel (within about a half an hour of our base in Gray – travel greater that 30 minutes may require additional charges), but to both take the time necessary to accurately diagnose your computer’s problem and also just talk to you, getting to know how you use your computer and possibly guiding you towards better, more enjoyable, more productive and safer use of your own Mac. Besides, our onsite, personalized service can make a frustrated user feel confident and "in charge" again as well as to make them feel secure that there is always someone waiting in the wings when help is needed.
MainelyMac was started by longtime Mac user Marc L. Rubinstein to provide advice and aid to those who utilize what has been called the “easiest computer in the world!” While we sincerely believe Mac owners benefit greatly from learning by doing, sometimes a bit of advice, guidance or just plain training is necessary. That is a large part of why we are here.
Owner Marc L. Rubinstein has been a Mac user since the Mac’s beginning. He’s taught at Macworld, on many of the MacMania cruises, consulted in many states with individuals, companies and schools.
Marc is committed, active where it counts and keeps a close eye on what is coming and going on in the greater Mac world.
